Similarly, showcasing how the rage monster that players knew back in the original series falls in love and is able to settle down after his bloodthirsty rampage through the Greek Pantheon would make for another surprisingly human moment. The most recent God of War brought some tender moments to the franchise with the character development between Kratos and Atreus.
This meeting has even been hinted at by God of War Director Cory Barlog, as being a point that the developer is excited to visit in future installments. However, considering that Kratos fought against his history of slaughtering everything that comes near him, it would be interesting to see how the character became the man players meet in God of War. Faye and Kratos MeetĪ meeting between two godly figures like the woman players now know Faye to be and the famous rage monster that is the Kratos from just after killing Zeus would surely be an epic moment. This would make for a stark contrast from the rest of the series, especially deviating from the one shot filming of God of War, but may be a risk worth taking if delivered properly. It may be a change of pace for the series, but many layers have voiced how they wish they could see Faye in action, possibly even playing as her in a time before her eventual passing. The player never really gets to see Faye, but is instead introduced to her as a myth through legends and stories shared by Atreus, Kratos, and even the Dwarves who made her Leviathan Axe. RELATED: God of War Sequel Has Plenty of Norse Myths to Explore At the moment, the woman has gained a level of mythology around herself, being revealed to have foreseen and orchestrated the events of the previous game, all while players have never really seen her face. Players are introduced to her as a corpse on a funeral pyre in 2018's God of War. This would be Faye, Kratos' new wife and the mother of the Greek God's new son, Atreus. With everything that has already come in the series, there is one character who players already feel like they know, even if they've never met her. The sequel to this animation is going to release soon, and we can expect a ton of more lore, even if it is fan-made, it is welcome by the community wholeheartedly.The next installment in the God of War is hopefully on the way and possibly coming to beef up the library of Sony's PS5 when it launches. Although we never saw Faye in-game, except for that one time in Alfeim, it is hard to say if the creator will get this part right. The creator made a follow-up teaser which might include a face reveal of sorts.
But the story does not end here, it has more to it than we would think. We can deduce from in-game dialogue that Faye was also a warrior, hence her carrying the Leviathan Axe, a very common fact but still intriguing. This animation sheds some light on this scene, when Kratos had nothing, fate sent his Faye. When he arrived, he had nothing, nothing but the repenting stings of the Blades Of Chaos etched into his scared arms, he was cursed to be a mortal, cursed to be a god, cursed to be a God-slayer. When all that chaos occurred, it’s theorized that Kratos used the power of Pandoras Box to teleport himself far away, hence he how he got to the Nine Realms. Although small, this scene has a lot of weight behind it, and some really good imagery.įor those who do not know, at the end of the original God Of War trilogy, Kratos destroyed all of Olympus and effectively the life that the realms there had stored. The artist by the name of SWEETHEARTIST was the one to create such a display of scenery.

Even if wait times were not too long, fans still need content to keep the game hyped up, and when they don’t get any, they start making it themselves.įrom unique mods to artistic animations, it seems that these fans have amazing representation when it comes to reimagining the story and how it unfolded, and this animation does just that. With the game garnering intense popularity and a green-lit sequel, it was but a few years before we delved back into its Norse worlds once again. From the graphics to the combat, Santa Monica absolutely annihilated expectations going into the game. God Of War is a title so gripping in its story, extremely extensive in combat, and so deep in lore that it exists in a league of its own.
